Getting started

Complete your profile and record a useful first snapshot in a few minutes.

1. Complete the welcome steps

When Body Stats opens for the first time, choose your preferred units and enter the profile information used by the app’s calculations. You can change these choices later in Settings.

2. Prepare to measure

  • Measure at a consistent time of day whenever possible.
  • Use the same position and measuring technique each time.
  • Keep a tape level and comfortably snug—do not compress the skin.
  • Treat BMI and body-fat results as estimates, not medical diagnoses.

3. Record your first snapshot

Open Log, choose a measurement, and enter its value. Your first value uses direct number entry. When a measurement already has a value, Body Stats uses a scroll wheel for small adjustments.

You do not need to measure everything

Save only the measurements you took today. Missing values can be added on another day.

4. Add a note

Use a note for context that may explain future changes—for example, “morning measurement,” “after workout,” or “started new routine.”

5. Set a goal when you are ready

Open Goals to set targets and optional target dates. Progress colors show whether your latest movement is toward or away from the selected target.
